Guidelines for using the sensor unit battery

If the device isn't working properly, won't connect, or the battery runs out very quickly, it may be because the battery hasn't been fully charged. 

To ensure that your sensor in the ladybird works properly, it is important to follow these instructions. Failure to do so may result in the sensor malfunctioning.

Charging takes approx. 90 minutes.

Do not interrupt the charging process prematurely! Just popping it in for a quick top-up – MARY really doesn’t like that at all.

• The charging process stops automatically.
• Please leave the ladybird in the charging cradle whilst it’s charging, unless the app asks you to remove it briefly. (LED flashes)
• The LED turns green again.
• Leave the ladybird in the charging cradle when you’re not using it.

• In the first phase, the charge level rises quickly.
• Towards the end, it takes longer to reach full capacity.
• The last 10% takes the longest.

Avoid removing it too early! Even if the battery level shows 97%. If the sensor is removed from the charging station too early, it may discharge more quickly or fail to function properly.

 Please follow these instructions to ensure your Ladybird sensor performs at its best.

If the Beetle has not been used for several days, we recommend simply recharging it before the next use, as the battery may have discharged in the meantime.

Although the app may still display a battery level of, for example, 66% or 44% – this figure is no longer reliable if the Käfer has not been in use for a long time. 

The Ladybord simply won’t have enough power to function properly. 

Therefore: Always fully recharge it before any occasional use....

We recommend:

Use MARY at night, 

charge the ladybird in the charging cradle during the day

and then leave it there.
