Establish Bluetooth connection between ladybird and station

A connection can only be established if the station is connected to the power supply and the Internet. The ladybird communicates with the transmitter/receiver station via Bluetooth Low Energy (class 3) with minimum transmission power. Place the station near your child with the ladybird.

The Bluetooth connection between the ladybird and the transmitter/receiver station can be disrupted or interrupted under certain conditions.

Here are the most common causes:

• Distance between ladybird and station too great
  The maximum range for a stable connection is 4 metres. If the distance between the ladybird and the station is greater, the connection may be interrupted. This can happen if the child moves out of this range with the ladybird, e.g. if it crawls around, walks or is carried.

• Obstacles between the ladybird and the station
  Metallic or large objects (e.g. furniture or walls) can block the Bluetooth signal and impair the connection.

• Absorption by the human body
  Enclosing body contact can attenuate the signal, especially if the ladybird is trapped between two parts of the body, e.g: 
• between torso and arm or
• trapped between stomach to stomach when breastfeeding

• Standby mode of the ladybird
  If the ladybird detects a temperature below 30°C, it goes into sleep/activation mode to save energy - the Bluetooth connection is automatically disconnected. This can happen if the ladybird is removed from its clothing, is no longer in physical contact or is simply lying somewhere.

💡 Tip: Make sure that the ladybird remains within range on the body and that no large obstacles or physical contact on both sides dampen the signal. This will ensure a stable connection between the station and the ladybird!
