Why am I not receiving any alerts at night?

Displacement by smartphone system

sticklett support

Last Update 6 months ago

If apps that access media or audio processing (e.g. social media apps, music or video apps) were active or previously used, iOS or Android may in some cases prioritise or temporarily suppress background processes of apps – including MARY.

This can result in notifications only being reliably triggered again once the mobile phone is unlocked or the app becomes active again.

Our recommendation:
After using social media, music or video apps, please close the MARY app completely and then restart it before you go to sleep. This will bring the app back to the foreground and prevent it from being suppressed by another app and remaining inactive during the night.

Further suggested solutions:
Enable background updates on your smartphone (iOS)
Set battery usage to unlimited (Android)
Open the MARY by sticklett app and activate the screen lock while it is active.
Activate the alarm in the alarm configuration of the MARY by sticklett app.
